The Beauty of Bodies

When was the last time you had a conversation with your body? I mean a true heart to heart? What about asking your body what it would like?  What would it like to eat or drink? What would it like to wear?

What if your body could actually reply to those questions? Would you approach food differently? Would you approach clothing differently? What about moving your body?

What we have been taught from a very young age is that bodies are just living meat and you have to direct, dictate or force it to do what you want. And with that approach, we find things quite cumbersome, don't we?

What if all that struggle with our bodies is our body's way of communicating with us? What if it's saying: “Hey, hold on here, this doesn't work for me!”

If you get anything from this, it would be to just give it a go and start a conversation with your body. Something simple: “Hey body, how are you doing today?”. How does your body respond? How does it feel when you ask it that question? What abou...

Love or True Caring?

Apart from thinking, feelings are the greatest way we handicap ourselves. We have been indoctrinated to believe the opposite is true and that thoughts and feelings are not only necessary in navigating life’s choices, but the superior way. 

Science reveals that from the time we are in the womb, we actually sense everything that our mothers are experiencing. We know no separation. It is as if everything is happening directly to us. If our mother experiences stress, fear, yearning or anger, we assume those feelings are ours. Those feelings and emotions then trigger bio chemicals such as cortisol, adrenalin, dopamine, etc. which physically impact us as well. We are quite literally surrounded by feelings that are not even ours, but we perceive them as ours, before we even take our first breath. 

By the time we are outside of the womb, we have the ability to tune into others and be aware of their bodies' biochemical functions and feelings. Babies know when people are upset, afraid or angry...
